About Tech Ignite
The IEEE Tech Ignite Summer School is a flagship initiative of the IEEE Kenya Section designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry applications.
The 2026 edition is anchored on the theme “Inclusive Engineering for Sustainable and Connected Societies,”reflecting a commitment to equitable, future-ready technological development.
This four-day immersive program will convene Kenyan students, young professionals, and industry experts for an intensive learning experience featuring hands-on workshops, technical trainings, immersive prototyping sessions, and hackathons. Participants will explore cutting-edge and high-impact domains including Artificial Intelligence, Power Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Renewable Energy, Embedded Systems, alongside Women Empowerment and Investment & Innovation Training, equipping them with both technical and entrepreneurial skills relevant to today’s evolving engineering landscape.
